Hail damage is not always visible

Hail damage often cannot be seen from the ground. Bruised shingles lose their protective granules faster and can start leaking months after the storm, and high winds can lift shingles without tearing them off.

After a storm, we inspect the roof, photograph any damage and give you a clear written scope. If you decide to file a claim, that documentation helps. We do not act as your adjuster; in Texas, the law does not allow roofing contractors to do that.

Frequently asked questions

Will insurance pay for a new roof after hail?

It depends on your policy and the extent of the damage. We document what we find with photos and a written scope. Your insurer decides coverage, and you stay in control of your claim.

Is there a deadline to file a hail claim?

Many policies have strict deadlines for reporting storm damage. Check your policy, and have the roof inspected soon after a storm so you know where you stand.

Can you tarp my roof after a storm?

Yes. If water is getting in, we can tarp the damaged area to limit interior damage until permanent repairs are made.

How do I avoid storm-chasing roofers?

Be cautious of out-of-town crews knocking on doors after a storm, pressure to sign on the spot, and requests for large payments upfront. Ask for a local address, proof of insurance and references.
